Today, once again, the Thermes Enghien has become the only spa resort in Ile-de-France. Its reopening marks the completion of our resort which now fully merits its name: Enghien-les-Bains, the source of wellbeing.
The Thermes Enghien is located on the ground floor of the multi-purpose centre devoted to all forms of wellbeing. Thanks to the creation of a complete medical centre, Enghien Spa is able to offer a complete range of new treatments adapted to modern-day pathologies: voice therapy, stress management, stopping smoking. Several medical practices are at your service offering treatments suited to your personal situation: allergies, respiratory or vocal problems, vertigo, etc.
Close to Paris, it allows patients to obtain treatment through daily appointments.
Opening times (10 am to 8 pm) have been arranged in order to allow children to attend the centre after school and to allow adults to benefit from treatment after a day at work.
The synergy between the Thermes and the Spark wellbeing centre offers the opportunity to take advantage of a peaceful and relaxing moment after treatment in order to get the very most from the therapy.
Le spark : treatments, sport and spa
The remarkable quality of the calcic sulphurous waters of Enghien-les-Bains provides it with decongestion, anti-allergenic and bacteriostatic qualities.
21 day spa therapies (18 days of treatment) are available and are certified by the Social Security Department in France for the treatment of Respiratory/ENT conditions and Rheumatology.
Private therapies and short-term therapies are also available. Stopping smoking, vocal problems, oral hygiene infections, etc. these short-term therapies are used for preventive purposes or to remind patients of the instructions for traditional therapies.
They are not refunded by the French Social Security Department.
Enghien’s supply of sulphurous water has been exploited on a regular basis since 1821. The first spring was discovered in 1766 by Louis Cotte, a monk from the Oratorian Order. This spring was a “stinking stream” emerging below the weir of “Montmorenci” pond, the present-day Enghien Lake. At the start of the 20th century, the spa site comprised about ten springs. Eight of its springs were recognised as being of public interest by a decree on 18 July 1865. The origin of Enghien’s sulphurous waters is a result of a specific geological feature. The water from the water table, which comes from surface water, does not have any direct relationship with the waters of the present-day lake and are naturally isolated from it. In 2001, three new water catchment basins for the sulphurous water table were built. This water table has good natural geological protection and biological self-processing capacities which have contributed to ensuring the continuing success of this water supply in an urban environment.
Access : Located on the ground floor of the multi-purpose centre, the Thermes centre has privileged access and a separate entrance. Car parking and Reception: 38, rue de Malleville.
